Why can't my iPhone photograph a wrong passcode?

Apple doesn't let any app see the Lock Screen or use the camera in the background. So on iPhone, you turn Failshot on and lock the device, and whoever unlocks it lands in Failshot and is photographed.

Can someone who knows my passcode switch it off?

No. Switching off needs Face ID or your own Failshot PIN, never the device's passcode. If a new face or fingerprint is added to the device, Failshot asks for your PIN instead.

How do I cancel my subscription?

iPhone: Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions. Android: Google Play, then Payments and subscriptions.
