About Failshot
Failshot is second layer security for your devices. On a Mac, it photographs whoever unlocks it while Failshot is on, then records a 5-second video, and it watches the files, folders and apps you choose. Switching it off takes Touch ID or a Failshot PIN and answer, never the Mac password. Photos are kept on the Mac and leave it only in email alerts and the encrypted web vault, if the owner turns those on. Whoever unlocks the Mac sees Failshot’s window, and the menu bar shows when it’s on.
