Roadmap
What we’re building next.
What we’re building now, ahead of release. When something ships, it moves to the release notes.
Mac
In an update
The alert reaches you even if Failshot is cut off.
Turn this on, and our service holds any alert that is waiting to go and sends it for you if your Mac is shut down, loses its connection or Failshot is closed during that wait. You’ll also be told if Failshot is quit while it’s on, removed, or stops reporting to our service. Sleep, a closed lid or a shutdown with nothing waiting never sets off an alert.
In an update
Turn Failshot on from another device.
From another device signed in with the same email, turn Failshot on for the next unlock of your Mac. It arms Failshot for the next unlock only, and never turns it off.
In an update
An unlock log.
A list of the unlocks Failshot recorded while it was on, with the time and what was opened. Add your own unlocks too, if you choose.
In an update
A schedule that turns Failshot on.
Set the times Failshot turns itself on, so it’s watching when you’re usually away. A schedule only ever turns Failshot on, never off.
New platforms
Coming soon
iPhone.
Photographs, with the front camera, whoever unlocks into Failshot left on its own screen. Switching it off takes Face ID, or your Failshot PIN and answer.
Coming soon
Android.
Keeps working in the background while your phone is locked, and photographs whoever unlocks it, and a wrong PIN, pattern or password at the lock screen.
Coming soon
Windows.
Failshot for Windows will photograph whoever unlocks your PC while it’s on. Failshot Pro bought on this website will cover it.
